Degussa AG emerged in its present form in February 2001 from the merger of Degussa-Hüls AG with SKW Trostberg AG. Amalgamating the two enterprises advanced the Düsseldorf-based group to the rank of world market leader in many areas of specialty chemicals. Degussa AG is now also Germany’s third largest chemicals company.
